Privacy Policy

What San Diego Mold Experts collects when you request a mold quote in San Diego, CA or nearby San Diego County towns, who it is shared with, and the choices you have.

This website is owned and operated by Joe McGregor. Last updated November 6, 2026.

What is collected

When you use the quote form, the site collects what you enter: your name, phone number, email address, ZIP code or town, the type of service and the details you describe about the mold or water problem. When you call the site's number, your phone number and what you say on the call may be received.

Like most websites, the site also receives basic technical information such as browser type, device, pages viewed and approximate location based on your IP address.

How the form works

The quote form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a person, not a bot, is sending it. Cloudflare may process technical signals from your browser for that check. Submitted requests are delivered by email to the site operator through a form-delivery service.

How it is used and shared

  • To get you quotes. Your request is shared with independent mold inspection and remediation companies that serve your area, so they can contact you about it. Those companies may pay San Diego Mold Experts to receive requests or calls, and they use your information under their own privacy practices.
  • To follow up. With the consent you give on the form, the site operator or the matched companies may call, text or email you about your request. Requests to stop are honored.
  • To run the site. Technical data helps keep the site working, block spam and show which pages are useful.

San Diego Mold Experts does not sell your personal information. It is shared only with the companies that may quote your job, with service providers that help run the site, or when the law requires it.

Phone calls

The site's local 619 number is not answered by San Diego Mold Experts. Calls go through a call-routing provider to an independent mold company that serves your area. The company that receives the call may record it under its own practices, and the routing provider may keep basic call records, such as the calling number, time and length of the call.

Analytics

The site uses Google Analytics to see how visitors use it, such as which pages are read and how people arrive. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technology and processes data under Google's own privacy terms. You can block cookies in your browser or use Google's opt-out browser add-on.

How long it is kept

Quote requests are kept as long as needed to pass them along, follow up and keep basic business records, and then deleted.

California privacy rights

The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, gives California residents rights over personal information held by businesses it covers. The law applies to businesses that meet certain size or data thresholds, and this small site may not meet them. Either way, the site aims to honor these basic requests from California residents:

  • Right to know. Ask what personal information the site holds about you and how it was shared.
  • Right to delete. Ask the site to delete the personal information it holds about you, subject to limits the law allows, such as records needed to complete a request you made.
  • No sale. The site does not sell personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of on that point.
  • No penalty. Asking about your information will not change how your quote request is handled.

This summary is general information, not legal advice. Companies that already received your request are separate businesses with their own obligations, so send requests to them as well.

Your choices

  • Stop contact. Reply STOP to a text, or tell the caller you want no more calls.
  • Know or delete. Send a note through the quote form with the same name and phone number you used, and say whether you want to know what is held or want it deleted. The site may need to confirm it is you before acting.
  • Ask a question. Use the same form and say it's a privacy question.

Security

Reasonable steps are taken to protect the information you send, but no website or email system is perfectly secure. Please don't put bank, card or Social Security numbers in the form.

Children

This site is meant for adults arranging work on a home, condo or rental. It does not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Governing law and changes

This policy is governed by the laws of the State of California. If it changes, the date at the top changes too. Using the site after a change means you accept the updated policy. See also the terms of use.

San Diego Mold Experts is an independent quote service and is not affiliated with any mold inspection or remediation company, including any similarly named business.
